Conflict Transformation Programme
Demilitarisation of Former Political Prisoners’
Our project focuses on two key areas to support ex-prisoners and their families:
1. Building Community Acceptance
We work to foster understanding and inclusion by:
Connecting with ex-prisoners—both in groups and individually—to encourage participation in drop-in sessions and experience-sharing.
Creating and delivering storytelling and activity programs in schools, community centers, churches, and youth groups, centered around the Prison Experience Exhibition.
Showcasing the positive contributions of ex-prisoners through drama, art, and Free Association Narratives.
Supporting ex-prisoners in developing and leading social action projects that contribute to community life.
2. Raising Awareness of Support Services
We help ex-prisoners and their families access the support they need by:
Hosting information sessions on available services and resources.
Producing easy-to-follow guides that signpost support networks in each area.
Running monthly drop-in sessions to promote reintegration, share success stories, and address specific needs through targeted information sessions.
Our goal is to ensure ex-prisoners feel valued, supported, and connected to their communities.
